Invaders from the Izal Empire left the Izal planet by space ship decades ago in an attempt to take over the earth, but failed when they were confronted with a severe counterattack waged by earthmen. Therefore, they fled down to the bottom of the sea, where they took great pains to build a great metropolis.Now they are trying to conquer the earth once again. Dr. Kagetsu, director of the Earth System Research Institute, has successfully created GACKEEN THE MAGNETIC ROBOT in order to destroy the dreadful enemy. GACKEEN can combine the forces of Plyzer, the male robot operated by Takeru Hojo, the hero of the story, with those of Mightee, the female robot managed by Mai Kagetsu, the heroine.GACKEEN subdues all assaults made by the great force of the Izal Empire by living up to expectations about its super power.
