Dr. Saotome is a famous space scientist specializing in cosmic rays, and he finally reveals a new powerful energy-called the Getta Ray. The Getta Robot is a super mechanical robot produced using this new energy. It consists of three Getta Machines, each of which can be operated separately. It is also capable of changing its body into three forms by having the machines join in different ways.This robot is operated by three young men, Ryu, Hayato and Musashi. Each of them is also an operator of the three Machines.Meanwhile Goru, Emperor of the Dinosaur Kingdom below the earth, intends to conquer the land, and dispatches his monsters one after another to the surface. Getta Robot fights thesemonsters to save the earth from their invasion.
