celebrate the anniversary of its founding. Just as he is starting to feel disappointed, a large-sized beauty named Natsumi Asaoka, but known as L, comes along. She truly likes the little, but tough Shunsuke.The leader of the boy's dormitory is Monta Akai, who is also chief of the cheering squad. Monta tries to make the new boy Shunsuke show his true colors; however, being strong-willed, he does not budge at all.Monta is impressed by Shunsuke's nerve in daring to fight with him on equal terms, and enthusiastically recommends the new boy to join the cheering squad.The teacher in charge of Shunsuke's class is Michi Kaneko, known as "concrete" since even crying children will quiet down in front of him. Monta, too, shrinks before Mr. Kaneko, but Shunsuke pays him no mind at all. Whenever there is a mistake in his test grade, he will inevitably not hesitate to bring up the matter with the teacher even for a difference, of one more point. Therefore, even the strong Mr. Concrete gets taken aback, and is often put into a bad mood.Shunsuke's mother manages a lady's fashion boutique. Since she is short of staff, she asks him to help out. Dealing with women is Shunsuke's bate noire, and he makes a series of blunders around the lady customers. L runs to the rescue, and helps out briskly. Shunsuke's mother seems to like the girl.This is the bumptious story full of the laughter and tears brewed up continuously by this artless, yet well-rounded pair of big and little.They are truly in the full bloom of youth.
